PAK SWISS TRAINING CENTER KARACHI

Introduction:

Pakistan is a state of talent and resources, but unfortunately it is not discovered on early stages. From its beginning different governments tried to develop an industrial circle but unfortunately they couldn’t do well. That was the very important time to develop the industries because all over the world Industrial Revolution has been started. On that moment in the Era of 1950 an institute established named Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research" under the Act passed by Parliament. The purpose of this institute is to provide technical assistance to the field of Science and Industries.

But inspite of this after the beginning of industrialization Pakistan faced a lot of problem to find highly skilled and trained persons who are capable to hold the process of industrialization. At this moment Government of Pakistan thought about to established an institute which is capable to produces skilled and trained persons for industries.

In 1965 Government of Pakistan established the Training Institute with the collaboration of the Government of Switzerland named as Pak-Swiss Precision Mechanics and Instrumentation Training Center in the Campus of PCSIR Karachi, and in future this training center proved that it is a mother institute for industries.

Purpose:

The basic purpose of this institute to

Produce manpower who are highly trained and skilled in their field

Produce manpower who are capable to capture the industries and bring them at international level.

To provide technical Assistance to Pakistani industries, at different areas.

Facilities:

Initially Pak-Swiss Training Center equipped with

Precision machines like, Lathe, Milling, Shapper, Surface Grinder having accuracy of Microns.

Precise measuring instruments like, Internal and external Micrometers, Vernier calipers with the accuracy of Millie and microns.

Most modern Design Room for designing and Training.

Most Modern Electronic Section with latest Instruments.

Optical Section for High Precise Glass works.

Die & Mould Section established in 1983 with Swiss Collaboration, with latest technology of making Tools, Jigs & Fixtures.

By the introducing of Die and Mould Technology, a new revolution came in Automobile Industry in Pakistan, because before this no institution is capable to give the particular technology.

Now PSTC is the Technological institute in Pakistan having number of CNC, NC, Conventional and Special purpose Machines with most modern checking instruments.

Services:

From its beginning Pak Swiss training Center gave over 1200 graduates to industries who serves not only in Pakistan but also abroad like Canada, America, Middle East, South Africa, Australia and generating valuable Foreign Reserves for Pakistan.

In Pakistan they are servicing not only in large Public Organizations like KANUP, PARCO, POF Waah, AQ Khan Research Institute Islamabad, PIA, but in Multination Organizations like, Procter & Gamble, Toyota, Atlas Honda, ICI PTA Plant, Pharmaceutical Companies.
